„Dear Prof. Springman,

We are Baubüro, a group of eight students that founded their own studio this semester. We found out last semester that our best atelier spaces, the „Pavillons“, are soon to give way to a new building for quantum physics. This made us think about our architecture school: What spaces do we study in? What spaces are we provided with by ETH? How do we use them? What is an architecture school? And espacially: Where will ours be once the Pavillons will be demolished?

Therefore, we have set ourselves the task to precisely understand our school, our campus and the history of both.
In a second step, we raised the question how the D-ARCH should evolve in the future both spatially and didactically because, as mentioned before, the Pavillons are being demolished, and the HIL, our main building, has to be renovated soon. So, where should our architecture school be the long term and how should it look like? [...]“
